I call it “Ramen Snack”. Crushed ramen dusted with the seasoning packet.

Shin Ramyun is the best for this, but for the love of god don’t use the whole packet. Shit is way too salty when it’s undiluted

I’m sorry, wait… are you eating chunks of uncooked ramen noodles?!

  3. MoultingRoach

We used to do this all the time when I was a kid. Crush it in the bag, open it carefully, season, the hold the top closed and shake.

It was so common that I didn’t even realize you were supposed to cook them until I was a teenager.

Are you Gordon Ramsay making it in a separate container?  Shake it up in the bag like God intended.

I did this all the time as a kid. I swear the seasoning used to be better for this.

I knew a lot of people who did this in middle school. I hated the texture of uncooked ramen so I never did it. It’s been fifteen years since I last saw someone do it!!

I’ve always been ashamed/embarrassed that I do this. Thought I was the only one. I genuinely think it’s better than the soup, and it all ends up the same in your stomach. It’s so crunchy and salty. Once every few months I crave this.

I loved it as a kid. I still like it tbh.

Used to do this all the time as kids. Definitely didn’t realize chips were a luxury at the time. Still would eat this struggle snack🤘.

  10. Datpotatosandwich

In Australia there’s a brand specifically for this called Mamee Monster. Loved it as a kid.

I did this all the time as a kid. Occasionally I’ll still do it too.

One of my favorite snacks/meals to get from a random gas station after a swim meet. We called it “ramen chips” and it was by far the most cost efficient way to satiate the dark hunger that lives inside all adolescent swimmers

This isn’t even shitty food, this is just lunch for a 10 year old.

  14. liberatedhusks

Did this all the time as a kid lol. I tried as an adult but the entire thing had like, a “smoker” scent? If that makes sense, like ashes :/

  15. cherryjelloy

I do it in the original bag the ramen comes in, I like to call it my poverty pringles.

  16. ConfidentHighlight18

    My kids do this & swear it’s amazing. I just can’t 🤮🤢

This is a go to snack for my kids. Let me be very clear that we have PLENTY of food, always lots of fruits, veggies, hummus, cheese, yogurt, all the assorted goldfish and cookies. But for some reason this has become like their comfort snack.

It’s also something I occasionally would snack on 20 or so years ago high out of my mind and broke.

  18. noiness420

I like to break the noodles into strips and dip it in like savory fun dip

  19. My dumb ass was hungry the other day and ate a brick of ramen like a sandwich so I am right there with you buddy.

  20. WeedForWitches

I did this in HS!! 😂 I remeber it being sooooo good, but nowaday its too salty and brothy for my tastes lmao

  21. GET_REKT_KID

This is also a popular Korean snack called “Ppushu Ppushu”

  22. Glittering_Sun_6971

My cousin used to do this when we were kids/teenagers. Until she ate 3 the same day and got sick. I had to clean it at 3 am so my grandma wouldn’t punish us haha.

  23. Chiopista

Some ramen works better than others, because they have a crunchy texture. Some are kind of stale before you boil. Top Ramen was always the school go-to.

  24. Ramen snack sounds like you translated another languages word for it back into English.

  25. No-Persimmon5626

If I did this as an adult, I would need to replace my asshole.

There’s a [brand](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_Noodles?wprov=sfla1) of Taiwanese instant noodles made to be crushed and eaten without cooking as a crunchy snack. Had this delicious peppery seasoning packet. Loved these as a kid. One day I brought a pack to school and some other kids saw me eating it this way, so soon after they all started eating their ramen noodles raw. I got kinda concerned because I wasn’t sure if the other instant noodle packs were safe to eat this way lol
